Cars, trucks, tractors or anything antique. ? Not to long away they could start coming out of storage.
My son has a 1964 Rambler American. 2 door post car. Was in my garage for seven years while most of the fix up was done. Originally a flat head 6 cylinder, three on the tree car. So we fixed up what we could. We painted it in my garage. We did up a 343 V8 for it. Automatic transmission. And power steering. When son got it, it had a chev 305 automatic, Chevelle rear end in it. All that was changed to rambler parts and units. Still Rambler drum brakes all around.
Any way, nice old car to play with. Guessing around 275-300 hp. No headers. Stock manifolds. That was fun to get in there. We made the duel exhaust. Americans didn’t have V8’s till 1966. Some had a 290 cu in engines.
Any way. What do you have ?

That's a nice hobby and I could see how easy it would be to get into it. Must be a pleasure to work on those old engines!

Nice piece , I don't have anything like that any more . Had my fair share of factory and homemade muscle cars and trucks over the years . The one thing that gets hoped up around here is the
when I buy more tractors .
Hopefully the $$ of gas goes back down this summer and you guys can get in some cruising .

Ya, hopefully gas goes down. May only get drove on Sunday’s. Hehe. This vehicle really needs high test fuel too, runs on regular. But better on high test if playing with it.

Re: So spring is sorta here, anybody into antique,
No car projects for me anymore. I had a 57 Chevy way back right out of high school. Dropped a 283 with a three speed on the floor in it and it was nice. Sold it to my older brother and he wrecked it. Then a 1966 Chevelle 396 with a 4 speed on the floor. Sold that when I got out of the Army and bought an old Harley 1956 Panhead. Worked on it all the time dumped a lot of cash in it, finally sold it and used the money for a down payment on a house.
My son and I had a few project cars. A 1987 Olds Cutlass that we put a 400 small block in. That car was very fast. Then he picked up a Porsche that we put a built up 355 chevy motor in, 350 bored out. He decided to move to Oregon where a girl lived that he met. I pulled the engine out of Porsche and sold the car. I have the engine in my shop on a dolly. He doesn't want the engine, told me to put it in a pickup. The engine has a lot of speed parts in it, Aluminum heads, big Edelbrock carb 10.5 pistons and a moderate cam. I always thought it would make a good engine for an El Camino, but time is running out for me. I wouldn't want it to be a money pit and we all know about those!
LOL!
