What are your thoughts on the daylight saving times changes ?
Me personally would love it if it went away . It takes me a bout 5 months to get use to the time change and then I have about a month and they do it again . I know my birds don't get it and it upset them when I am not out there same time each day regardless of what the clock says or the time of year .

I'm with you Dave. I think that the majority of Ontarians want it (pretty sure provincial government has put forth the motion already) but NY state (maybe PA and a few others too?) need to be on board too for it to happen (from what I've read).

Would be nice though!

I'm not a fan, really messes with my internal clock. I wish they would move it a half hour and call it good forever.
They always said it was done to help the farmers but they don't care for it, the animals don't use a clock.
I don't think the government could ever get together enough to pass anything like it today.

My brother pointed out that traveling east over a time zone last night would be a double but traveling west over a time zone would be like . I am lazy and will stay put.

Can be a PITA remembering what the time is for my folks out in AZ as they don't do the DLST in AZ, as far as I know they never have.

I'm thinking that opinions on the time change may differ by latitude. Here in the Midwest ( Chicago) it would get dark during our longest days in the summer around 8-8:30PM without DST, I sure do like those long summer days. I know from my time spent in upper Minnesota that darkness arrives quite a bit later there. That said, I do wish that (here) they would just bump it ahead and leave it there.

Interesting comment that it was created for the farmers, I never heard that. I remember it being mentioned that it had something to do with the kids and school hours.
