2025/2026 Winter setup

Post by MattA »

Figured I'd kick off a post your winter setup thread. It's been quiet here lately...

Here is what I've put together so far. SB48 snowcaster with extension wings, chute has two extra teeth added for more rotation. Also running two link chains, plastic wheel weights and 3x 42lb suitcase weights on the hydravac bracket. I'm not sure I'm going to bother with the cab this year. Its 3hrs to put on and a good hour+ to remove and put away. That's more time than I use the snowcaster some years. I've also taken off my tower covers to try and track down a slow leak on the return side.

The jack placement prevents me from catching my shin on the extension wing. Highly recommend

extention wings is next on the list to add on with fence guides . Thats IF it ever stops snowing long enough to finish the big RAM truck taking over my shop.
