Re: Torque wrench ???
That's awesome !
Used to use the knuckle method of judging torque - about 15lb/ft per knuckle that turned white as you were pulling on a ratchet/wrench - 3 white knuckles = 45 lb/ft

Re: Torque wrench ???
This is hitting me where I live. I'm about to turn 54, and just a day or two ago, I went to pour some water out of a big 2quart measuring cup, and as I did, my wrist hurt. Not writhing in the floor "hurt" but a noticeable, sharp pain.
And my conscious said, "Why is my wrist hurting?" And the other voice in there said, "because you're getting arthritis."
And I was like, "Well, I guess that's how things are for me now..."
***Sigh***

Yup I can relate!
I’m a few years behind you Bob and I know the feeling! Doing simple things hurts sometimes now, I didn’t sign up for this! In my case I think a lot of the things I did in my younger days are starting to come back to bite me. Some dumb decisions but mostly hard work. I guess all we can do is limp along the best we can!

Re: Torque wrench ???
No popping yet here, but various pains. My biggest fear is actually to lose the ability to grip with my hand because of pain. That would make wrenching hard.

Re: Torque wrench ???
Well. I tried to open a bottle of bread and butter pickles, my favourite, and could not open it with my hands. I was always good at opening bottles and jars. People would give me the thing they were trying open so I could do it. I have no pains while doing it, and no slippage in either hand, I just don’t have the strength like I use to. I’m not a big person, old, fat and 5 foot 6”, maybe, but always had good grip, I thought. Not any more, and I said to my self, that not a good sign. Any way. The bottle ended up back in the fridge. Some day my son is here, if I think of it, I’ll get him to open it.
