Crawled under the 448 while the deck is off and look things over. Thought holy moly they even put white hydraulic hoses on the back frame. There's not a piece of the rubber jacket left on the hoses, but not leaking, yet.

Well, at least you don’t have to wonder what your next project will be! I wonder how long they can last?

They were kinda my main reason for getting under there.
Pretty sure they are the original from 1984. Tractor only had the deck on it's entire life, bet a front blade or a plow on a sleeve hitch would find a weak spot.

Tim, are they regular bendy hydraulic hoses or rigid and you need to get oem?

They have a piece of steel line that loops off the TCV then transitions to hose above the frame. Same as the 4118. Should be able to just run regular hose, just a little longer to make loop.

Those steel tube ended hoses can be reproduced by cutting the tube section off and flaring it with a JIC nut and just have hose made to suit . Some of those hoses are JIC female tube on one end and NPT male on the other . At a hose maker in Barrie I saw extra long tube fittings for hoses that look like they could be bent into any shape needed. I didn't have time to ask the guy about them .
@FUTZ Know more on this subject than anyone I know . Maybe Ian can enlighten us on this . Would be good to know for restoration work , or custom stuff.
