I found the parts breakdown. Looks like the nut you are talking about isn’t listed but you can see it on the end of the shaft.

Yes. Use a locking nut. I had a nylock nut available and it's been working great now for the last 2 years.

You are correct the parts breakdown for the PS cylinder is NOT in the manuals. They use the same basic design as the loader cylinder.

My Notes and the nightmare I had rebuilding a PS cylinder on a 6020..
