It looks long there Eugen, but is not thick. Out further it gets very thick. I doubt they would do that. But I’m not doing that till October. And will use the Ferguson. Even it has a lot of trouble doing it.

Re: Going to do a little work
So part of the hay field cut. Will blow it into windrows some tomorrow. Then if dry, I’ll use the Estate Rake to rake into rows. Like to use the Case 446, but the drawbar 4” higher that the YT16H Ford, the one I normally use to rake. And cut the hay with today. Then pick up the rows with the loader. May not all happen tomorrow.
This spot is about 300’ by 55’. Took about a half hour to cut.

That’s some pretty thick stuff. Looks like your Ford handles it nicely.

Re: Going to do a little work
This one is side discharge. I have the deck set at where I normally cut grass at. And the blades are as dull as the handle of a butter knife. I never sharpen blades, on any of my mowers. And they all cut great.

Re: Going to do a little work
I mow my grass with a Dixie Chopper zero turn. It does a fine job, but it would be grunting to cut stuff that tall and I’d probably have to cut it twice.

Well to make this look reasonable, this would have to be done again.
Ya the Ford had no trouble with it. 16 hp and 48” deck.

Re: Going to do a little work
So got the Estate Rake out and together. Raked up the field. A little to thick and heavy for the rake. Had to unclog it a few times. But it’s done. Should have done this a few weeks ago. But that’s the way it goes. On to picking it up with the loader now.
