Question about 224
Question about 224
Hey everyone, I was just wondering if the 224 came with a different engine than the 14 horse that the data shows. I came across an Ingersoll 224 that has a 12 horse Kohler in it. I assume it is a replacement?

Re: Question about 224
Yes, I think I would have to agree. The tractor is fairly rough but has the hydraulic hitch as well as the rear hydraulic valve set up to run the hydraulic tiller etc.

Re: Question about 224
I'm not to familiar with the 200 series machines. I did get a 226 doanated to me last year that has a Onan B48 in it. Looks like a winter project this winter, so I'll be getting more aquainted with the 200's this year.

Re: Question about 224
I was out at the cabin this weekend so got back to the tractor. Got the bolt out. It was indeed left hand thread. A little bit of impact persuasion and out it came. I kind of buggered the head though from my previous attempt!
