Seat time this morning

Post by Harry »

Out of the 300 seedlings that I grew I had to lose close to 30 of them because I didn't move them away from each other. The last ten are in a bunch about five feet apart and they are at least ten feet tall. So all the bottom branches are browned out and ugly. This morning I removed two of them to the burn pile with my 644.

Too bad they couldn’t be replanted. Looks like your 644 made short work of it!

I have planted some 10"+ trees before with 6' diameter root balls. Some made it and some died out the previous year. A lot of work for me and the 644 with forks on the bucket. The last time I moved six and when using a post pounder to put in stakes to hold them in place I hurt my right rotator cuff. I went through therapy to recover and it still hurts today. I've decided to eliminate the last ten to clean up the space and not put my body through the torture.
