We’ll that stupid buck I took a picture of a while back has been hanging around, and sure enough he’s starting to cause trouble. I checked the garden when I got home today and found he has dug up my pumpkin plants! Never had a deer do that before. I’ve still got some space inside my fence I may replant some there. Or get some of that liquid Harry mentioned and see if it will work.

Your lucky. Don’t get me wrong they are fun to watch, and they are tasty critters when prepared well, but they can be quite destructive. Here a picture of a truck I used to have after a deer strike.

A really nice 8 pointer jumped out of the weeds right in front of me, no way to avoid him.

Critters can be a real PITA when it comes to gardening. My area is farily rural but housing is on the rise here, so the critters have to move somewhere. I had live catch trap set up in my back yard to hopefully catch the skunk I've seen tearing up my back yard looking for worms and grubs. The other morning I caught a raccoon and as I'm looking at the trapped critter and I see another one come out of the woods. Then three more came out behind the first one and walked to the trapped critter. My thought they were the babies of the trapped critter and said I should release it. They were not small animals so I wasn't sure about them being babies. So to please the I did release the racoon.

Sometimes the daughters will stay with mom for a year. Even after another litter. They look the same size as the mom.
