CCI-GT get together
Sound familiar?
Now that COVID restrictions have lessen, wouldn't it be great to meet in person and talk about our shared interests.
I'm a member of Georgian Bay Steam Show. Our show runs through the August long weekend. The last two years were cancelled due to COVID; this year is a re-start. We are having problems getting volunteers in all area's. We have a spot for Garden Tractor demonstration. This is simply a square where garden tractors in any condition are parked and people are allowed to look at and sometimes ask questions. I will provide a tent where we can sit and chat. We could have a CCI-GT in-person get together.
There is also a GT ploughing event on Saturday morning.
BTW, I went under the handle of Hydrogeek on another forum. The re-branding is due to a future project.

Re: CCI-GT get together
I showed M the picture of GT's plowing and said I plan on going. She mouthed off about the price of gas and how much it would cost to go. Well duh, mental health is priceless.

Yes, it's in Cookstown, Ontario; Hwy 27 and Hwy 89.DavidBarkey wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 1:15 pm @FUTZ Sound like a great idea bud . I thought it was you from the intro . Glad you are back . Is the show in Cookstown ?
There's camping for anyone out of town. It's a whole show with entertainment for whole family.

Re: CCI-GT get together
Hehe. Got looking at how far away this show is from me. I guess I won’t be going.
About 4000 kilometres round trip, and at today’s gas price it would be about $1700.00. I have relatives in Ottawa and Toronto. That I, stress the word, might visit while up there. Hehe. If I went, which I’m not. Jumpins take me 3 days just to get there. Then the cost of staying some where. And food and whiskey cost.
Jumpins could be well over $3000.00 trip. Then if something broke down on the truck or trailer. Holy cats.
But I still would love to go.

Re: CCI-GT get together
Unfortunately its a show too far for me too. I think it would be around 3000 Kilometers round trip for me. Worried when I got to the border Canada might not let me in and the US might not take me back!Propane57 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 10, 2022 5:48 am Hehe. Got looking at how far away this show is from me. Sounds like a good time though. We haven’t been to a show since 2019.
