I have a nice case 155 garden and yard tractor for sale. It’s in nice mechanical condition and looks decent for its age. I am the third owner of it and the first owner must’ve been some kind of mechanical whiz since it has all sorts of nice modifications and stuff done to it that really improve its usability.
The Kohler engine runs and starts great and makes good power. I just changed the oil on it late this winter so it’s good to go for the year. It has a generator/starter that has been very reliable and never given me any issues. The accessory drive is run off the front of the engine with a pulley and a clutch style engagement. The clutch locks up nice and has also been very reliable.
This tractor has hydrostatic Drive which makes it super easy to drive and operate. It also has a two speed transmission which is great for when you need the torque or if you just want to cruise down the driveway.
The shining feature of this tractor is something that was added by the first owner, and that’s the hydraulic lift for the mower deck and snowblower. It really takes the strain out of trying to lift and lower the accessories and even though it was added by the first owner, it works really well and I haven’t had any issues with it. It even looks like you could use the accessory bar on the back with the hydraulics to raise and lower accessories off of the rear of it, but I have never hooked that up.
It has chains on the rear tires which are great for traction year-round, and the rear tires hold air and do not leak at all. I put two new front tires on it a couple years ago but the front left does leak a bit of air and will start to look low after a couple weeks.
Everything on this tractor works as it should, the lights work, the key switch works, and it shifts from low to neutral to high properly. The brakes work, but they don’t grab the best, so they may need a bit of adjustment, but as I’m sure you’re aware with the hydrostatic Drive you never need the brakes.
Now for the bonus part! As I mentioned, the first owner must’ve been a mechanical guy and a tinker because I have boxes of trinkets and parts and pieces and springs and bolts and accessories that he made for this tractor. It’s amazing the amount of stuff that he accumulated with it. I also have manuals and brochures and pictures that I will include with the sale of the tractor. With all of the stuff that’s included you could restore this tractor and make a great showpiece out of it, or you could continue to use it as a great little yard and garden tractor for many years to come.
I unfortunately have to move and I have other mowers and so I need to get rid of this thing. It’s been great to me and I love using it, so I hope the next owner will enjoy it as well. The best way to have all your questions answered about this thing is to come out and take a look at it and see what all is included. However if you do have some questions or want some different pictures please let me know. Thanks for looking and come on out and take a look at this thing in person and make me an offer.
Many more pictures on the link.
