I don't remember where you mentioned this tool @Harry but it looks well made. Did you design and build this tool?

Does it work on car wheels too you think?

same basic idea as the bead breaker built into the Harbor Freight tire changer.

I have one and it does work, but I had to practically rebuild the actual pushing arm, as it folded up on me under heavy pressure.

And in my case, since space is at such a premium, I made a base for mine out of 8"x2" C channel, and I only bolt it together for use. When not in use I store the disassembled parts up in the ceiling between the floor joists above the shop.
