That pic reminds me when I was in high school auto shop. There was a guy in my class that drove dirt track stock cars in the summer and thought he knew everything about cars. He was a little older than most of the other students, so that tells you something about his academic record. He had a really nice Ford Falcon Sprint car he drove to school. He had it in the shop class and someone dropped a washer down the carburetor. He went to start it up after the class and it made a loud racket. He ended up tearing it apart and found the washer. The next day the teacher read us the riot act and wanted someone to come forward. No one owned up to it as I can remember, and it was just forgotten about.

I had a 84 Ford Escort looked like that after the retaining clips fell off a valve stem
The head of the valve stuck in the new hole in the top of the piston
