Yanmar is one of the biggest producers of small diesel engines world wide . Used in everything from small tractors to generators to refer power units and almost everything in between . Almost all the knock offs are Yanmar clones , so they must be doing right . It would have come out of an Ingersoll-Ran product of some sorts , ie. genny refer, compressor , tamper ect.

Posting has been deleted. What were they asking for it?
@Harry I looked at the posting before it was deleted, but I don't think there was a price.
I've been looking for a small diesel engine but they seem to go for a lot more $$ than a similar gas engine. I think the two cylinder ones are less than 20HP usually, but I might be wrong.

Eugen, yes no price listed and I never got a chance to ask the seller anything.
Yanmar makes a 14 hp and 16 hp 2 cyl. which in real terms mean they make the same working power as a 18 and 22 hp gas engine in the same rpm range.
The best engine are the genny or APU engines as most of them are governed to 1800 rpm so they have not been worked to death . I have a Kabota 2cyl. APU unit engine in the Bride . I hope to get back to it and have it ready for fall harvest .
