Cockshutt Garden tractors in Canada

Post by Doublet »

Cockshutt farm tractors by model
Related brands: White.

Cockshutt Golden Arrow tractor In 1946, Cockshutt began making the first line of modern farm tractors manufactured in Canada. The origins of the company's agricultural business can be traced to the 1870s and various businesses operated by the Cockshutt family. The Cockshutt Plow Company was registered in 1910. The company's tractor manufacturing operations were acquired by White Motor Company (later to be White Tractor) in 1961.

My questions is were there any Coclshutt Garden tractors made by them.

1 Have found two photographs that I am wondering if they are real or not.

I know this is real and was made for Cockshutt by Jacobsen.

The one in the last picture is made by Jacobsen is the only real one as far as I know Terry.
The first one in the first picture is a Massey Ferguson 7. Second one looks to be a Jacobsen made tractor, be we’re never painted that way.

Jacobsen made them for White, who owned Minneapolis Moline, Oliver, and Cockshutt and the garden tractors were sold under all 4 brands as far as I know. They also made the Ford GT's which is somewhat unrelated I suppose.

Had never seen one with utility type bed on it and couldn't find any pictures or literature on one like it. It would be similar to Case T-90 type vehicle.
