Re: Dessert Sunset paint
The quart is a better price for the quantity, and being the right colour and quality is not a bad choice. If only we had a dealer closer to us.

Re: Dessert Sunset paint
I found in my pile of "stuff " a virgin piece of Desert Sunset back side no fade . I am going to see if the local hardware store can colour match some rust paint . They have a optical scanner .

Re: Dessert Sunset paint
So if you get the mix your happy with, could you send the mix ratio to me, then I could go to the Home Hardware store here and get it mixed. Some day might paint the 224. Thanks.

Re: Dessert Sunset paint
Dave, over here by me we have an auto parts store than can scan paint and then mix it into a rattle can. They will make any color you want. They put them in the taller spray can something like 18oz. Last I remember i paid around $15-18 a can US. Wonder if there is anything around you that puts paint into rattle cans?

Ya used them before . Carquest in Midland (about 10 min away ) use to do it but , got out of doing it unfortunately due to cast and regulations .Jancoe wrote: ↑Fri Feb 18, 2022 10:38 pm Dave, over here by me we have an auto parts store than can scan paint and then mix it into a rattle can. Re: Dessert Sunset paint
Broke down and bought a top loader spray gun . Now to use it I have to create a spray booth area to use it . Which means another project I don't have time for right now .
