Fergus, ON, 1977 Case 430 loader, $6000

Post by Eugen »

Not mine, but I'd have probably considered buying it if I didn't have the 644. In my opinion it's worth the price.

This is on Facebook in the group Ontario farm equipment.

"Up for sale is my 4 wheel drive mini wheel articulating loader.

It was a restoration project of mine, I live in town and don’t have a use for it now that it’s pretty much done.

I have replaced every fluid and filter and on the machine. New fuel pump, new carb, new roller chain to connect the transfer case to the transmission, completely repainted, new battery and rewire to a keyed ignition, made a new hood for it and built an exhaust (still very loud), all new vinyls and a new very comfortable seat,

This machine is an antique. It is loud, like you need ear plugs to run it loud. This can be fixed with a better muffler as well. It does not have a breaking system but simply a forward and reverse in one pedal. This was built when men were men. Safety was an after thought in 1970.

It is run by a 4 cylinder Wisconsin with a rebuild tag from somewhere in the 80s.

It is located in Fergus.
Can be sold for cash or can be sold on the books. If it’s still up, it’s still available. Please don’t waste my time if you aren’t ready to come see it. No I will not negotiate unless your in person . Thanks."

That’s a neat machine. Never seen or heard of one of those before. But I’m not a articulated steering fan. So not really for me.

@DavidBarkey there was another one for sale in Ontario about a year ago, and had a Davis backhoe on it too. Sold in a matter of hours. I think the asking price on that was also $6000.

I seen one once that it was called a sneaker loader, made by Case that also had a Wisconsin 4 cylinder in it. The machines looks like it could handle a larger loader bucket then the small one that's on it.
I once owned a Bolens GK, grounds keeper, that articulated and had a Wisconsin on the rear. It was very loud, and it had a two-speed rear axle. It had no loader and the mowing deck was missing. I had planned on making it a loader but then purchased a Case 646. Sold the Bolens which was a cute machine and very thirsty.
Keep the Peace
