The morning was spent on machine repairs. No photos, but got the MF-202 lower radiator hose replaced. Also repaired a couple minor item on the new to me MF-20C Turf.
After that, it was on to the stone slab that my rear staairs are going to land on.
Cue the 646 BH. I needed a hole that was perhaps 18" by 54". The slab is 14" x 48". You can't do precision digging here due to the rocks. The hole was probably 30" by 60".
Almost 12" of 2b gravel in the bottom as I don't want any drainage issues under the slab. Below the gravel is the weired bottomless pile of rocks I live on, so not likely to ever be an issue.
Bluestone slab in and back-filled. It's pitched just a touch away from the house, and also a little downhill. The stairs are just going to sit on it, so even if it moves a little, the stairs will be fine.
Next time I take a week off, I hope to be able to get some stairs landed there.
