644 lbh upgrade

Post by Harry »

Built a bucket tooth bar for the 644 lbh. Started with a 1/2” plate cut to size with plasma. Drilled sixteen 5/8” holes to bolt teeth unto plate. Cut sixteen 5/8” bolts to size and beveled end in lathe. Welded beveled end to bottom of 1/2” plate. Made to ends to bolt plate to bucket after drilling bucket. Paint then installed to bucket. Took about a week to fabricate.
While enjoying a cold libation one day after working I came up with the idea to repurpose the unused old 646 rear fenders after making new fenders from an old oil tank. Cut off attachment brackets. Drilled holes in both fenders and bolted in place. Now the fenders completely cover the tires. What do you guys think?

It all looks good to me.

With how little weight the LBH has on the front end, I never found I could do much more than move loose material, so I don't know that teeth are going to be a lot of use, but between them, and the mouting plate that's gotta add a few pounds, which sure can't hurt. Plus it looks meaner. Should scare the heck out of the dirt.

looks good Harry . I did something simular on Frankie splicing 2 sets of fenders to make the wider . I am with you , factory fenders too narrow for my liking .
