Snow caster chute rotator
The motor I put on the snow caster to rotate the chute stopped working. Checked it out to find moisture got inside and rusted. I ordered a new motor which is for a auto power seat. Assembled it today which was exactly tge same as the previously used. This time I stretched a piece is an old bicycle inner tube over the motor and put a wire tie on it to hold it on. Had some snow to move so tried it out and it worked fine. Harry

Re: Snow caster chute rotator
I didn't have a rubber tube at the time I did mine so made a plaster cover out of an empty ice cream container . Think a rubber is a better idea , safe snow blowing Harry .

Re: Snow caster chute rotator
That is the same motor I use for both of my rotation and chute angle. I wrap my motors with Gorilla Tape. I also do not leave them on while they are not in use. I did that with my first set, and the motor died. They have lasted years now, being wrapped and stored inside.
