Labor Day, Work or Play

What started out as doing inventory of reclaimed wood

Turned into cutting and pulling down grapevine, then rebuilding the roof of the tree house.

There is enough reclaimed roof sheet metal from a job 7 years ago.

It should look nice from the road when finished.

You were very busy Spike. 👍 I closed up the above ground swimming pool. Took about two hours making multiple trips to the shop and back. Put on a new winter cover and only have to drain the solar heater. I’m still trying to recover from the ordeal.

Harry, I feel your pain tonight. The bush to the right of the tree house is sumac covered in grapevine. The tree house and most of the Manatoba maple were covered like that. I ran out of energy about 3, so ate lunch and hit it again. The 1/2" sheeting for the roof was almost above my strength level. Each project like this gets us closer to the 646lbh rebuild.

I too spent the weekend try to get "outside stuff" done while the weather is nice . The list of things to do on rainy/snowy days is long enough to fill up fall and winter .
