Clinton B-700 coil
Assembling the Clinton B-700 engine (2 hp) for the Springfield 2 wheel tractor I realised the Magneto coil was dead . No , NOS or even used could be found to replace it . So after some
and some
and just a little
. I came up with a plan to try and find something from another brand that I could make fit . Found a replacement coil from older small Tecumseh engine that is still available and was able to put it on my iron core . Now I have spark .
Tight fit , but it works .

Looks like a Tecumseh 30560A, should do the trick.DavidBarkey wrote: ↑Thu Apr 17, 2025 7:09 am Assembling the Clinton B-700 engine (2 hp) for the Springfield 2 wheel tractor I realised the Magneto coil was dead . No , NOS or even used could be found to replace it . So after someand some

Good eye Bob . That is exactly what i used and seen in picture held in place with a little JB Weld . Tight fit ,but makes a good spark and it runs like a champ.myerslawnandgarden wrote: ↑Fri Jun 27, 2025 11:11 pmLooks like a Tecumseh 30560A, should do the trick.DavidBarkey wrote: ↑Thu Apr 17, 2025 7:09 am Assembling the Clinton B-700 engine (2 hp) for the Springfield 2 wheel tractor I realised the Magneto coil was dead .
