Re: Fathers Day
Happy Father's Day guys
My wife planned a trip over to Battleship Cove just across the river. My father in law and I toured the exhibits and the girls rode the carousel a few times and went shopping.
View from the USS Joseph P Kennedy destroyer of the USS Massachusetts battleship and USS Lionfish sub. Forward 16" guns 5" guns AA guns
When I was a kid in scouting more than 25 years ago you could sit in the AA guns and manually operate them. One person would raise and lower the guns while the other turned the turret. It looks like the turret was also motorized. Fun trip. Could have used more time. I could spend the whole day here. They have PT boats and a few helicopters too.

I'd like to go again sometime and explore more. I didn't get to spend enough time looking around.myerslawnandgarden wrote: ↑Sun Jun 15, 2025 11:37 pm Very cool Matt,
