2025 Seat time
I hook up the 444 to a roller today and got about two hours seat time. It felt great in the sun driving slow listening to the radio. Then all of a sudden the engine stalled and when I went to start it tried to turn over but wouldn’t like the battery was low. The battery was fully charged and according to the ammeter charging very little when running. Lately it has been turning slow when starting. It was rebuilt about two years ago. Needless to say I had to pull out the 646 that I just fixed the flat tire on.

I think Matt meant, do they slip? As they are so large and loaded.

Re: 2025 Seat time
Put in some seat time yesterday rolling back and side yards with the 444 pulling a 4’ roller. A few areas had puddles but it had rained on and off for a few days. Adjacent to my garden behind my pool is a field that I mow but is always rutted. I pulled the roller with the mighty 444 driving through a couple if inches of water. The 444 never slipped or spun a tire. It just kept chugging along never skipping a beat. I just love these hydraulic big tire GT’s.

Re: 2025 Seat time
Glad you got some good seat time! Any idea what’s going on with the slow cranking on the 444? Could it be the starter? I have seen sticky valves cause that too. Curious to know what you find out. Hopefully you get some more good seat time!

Re: 2025 Seat time
I have noticed that if I charge the battery up then turn the engine over, it cranks normal. I’m thinking possibly it’s a battery problem.

Re: 2025 Seat time
What is the CCA and age of Battery Harry ?
Also put a volt meter on it when running , it may not be charging properly .
