Thanks Eugen , I am not without my challenges . Reading mostly . Can't read a novel or most books . I can read words and sentences , but can't read a bunch of them and tell you what it means . But if you read it to me I understand most of it until it gets flowery or legal speak , again I get nothing . If it were not for spell check you would not understand what I write .My wife takes care of the all the important reading . My mom always said "my brains are in my hands" . I just don't know enough to know I can't do something , so I just do it until I figure it out . My mom just called me "just plain stubborn". That has been my life as long as I can remember . They say you learn more from your mistakes then from getting right the first time . That being said I should have a degree in fixoligy .
@Eugen Good to here from you , hope you all are well and things are starting to move forward .

You’re a gentleman with many talents David. I can relate where you’re coming from. I myself was never a great reader, but going through life opportunities pushed me to better myself in my deficient areas. Yes, spell check helps me a lot. I for one am envious of your skill set.

You don't see but a corner of it with Mag in place. I will take a couple of more pics , but no . The more I clean it the more comes off . I have new 3 link decals , but this is 4 link . So far I have only ever seen one pic of a four link decal . I am going to try to have them made from that .

With help from guys around the different internet forums , sharing pictures and knowledge I got enough pictures together to scan the colours with online programs ( https://imagecolorpicker.com/) is the one I used  and came up with a Hex colour . After more cross referencing of the colour I came up with a Pantone colour that our local PPG rep. (Carquest) could get mixed in single stage paint (urethane,  Delfleet Essentials ). Expensive ,but bullet proof . 
The casting had areas where the surface metal was peeling away (spalling) . That had to be ground off and repaired . After cleaning, sandblasting and grinding , I used JB Weld (pro size tubes ) as body filler to smooth things out . Not the easiest to sand ,but will take the heat and is bullet proof . All parts were coated in Phosphoric acid primer (rust killer) and same with the JB Weld for adhesion. These are all techniques you can use on any resto. project .

Question. Will JB Weld conduct electricity ?
In other words. If you had a small blob of hardened JB Weld, and you put your leads from your meter on it to test for continuity. Would the meter show continuity ?
I know this has nothing to do with this project, I was just wondering.

I do not know Noel . It is steel re-enforced epoxy so it is possible. I have a part of another engine with some on it. I will test it today and let you know .

So I tested the conductivity of JB Weld . I can say with confidence that it is a better insulator than than a conductor . Ohm reading of infinite .
