3 south facing windows installed.

followed by boxing in steel post and beams.

Using the tarp from the temporary building,, the front was closed in. Steel cladding will not arrive until Feb 19.

We opted to put vapor barrier on ceiling and strap for steel.

Then insulate, vapor barrier, and strapping on sidewalls, after the electrical rough in.

Most of a week 1/2 days spent by 2 of us.

Overhead doors arrived as scheduled and were installed Wednesday.

Our forklift was pulled across the tundra for its 1st night inside in 15 years.

Even the pickup got a night indoors.

The site is starting to look presentable.

And the greatest moment of all, the 646 is in it's new home.

@DavidBarkey The exterior and interior cladding is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, Feb 19. Weather permitting, 3 of us will finish the roof that week. Once the roof is finished, weather will dictate inside or outside cladding installation. Soffit and trim is going on next week.

Awesome , I imagine you have waited a long time to have a shop like this . I love my warm little shop , but size does matter . So just a little envious . Hopefully the weather is nice enough you can get at least the roof on for now .

The steel arrived Thursday as scheduled. Today, Saturday, Feb 22 was a Sunny day but still well below freezing. Not planning ahead during site prep ment several hours of extra seat time today.

The fresh air makeup unit was stored as far from the build as anything.

At least it wasn't boxed by other priceless objects.

Backing up hill while breaking open 2 feet of snow was impossible even with tire chains. The loader/blower combination was perfect. Driving uphill into the snowpack, then bragging a pile back with the bucket was the method of choice. The bonus was dragging the pile back far enough to be able to blow the last dragging while dragging a new pile.

What is the rating of a unit like that ? How much heat does it recover ? I have one in the house , but because the core is plastic it is not as efficient as it could be . Does that have the metal exchanger core ? I want to put one in the shop at some point . Recommendations ? 24'x 32 ' shop .

@DavidBarkey The best it will do is a complete turn over of air in 16 minutes on high speed or 32 minutes on low. It does have metal exchanger. It has never been installed but around 15 years old. I picked it up in a plant cleanup and couldn't find a buyer for it. It has been in storage waiting for installation in a toybox. It's time has arrived.

It was too windy for starting roof cladding today so we hung the first interior sheet at 10:30 this morning. At 5:30 the 3 of us cleaned up.

2 walls are clad and 3 windows trimmed.
