Picked up the Kwik-Way loader.
So my son and I went to Ontario to pick up a loader. Kwik-Way loader model number 45-08211. It was on a Wheel horse 520H. We plan to put it on our Case 446, but will see. I’m sure we will find a tractor to mount it on. Hehe.
We have a lot of learning to do. Any way, very quick trip, went to Ottawa from PEI on Friday, picked up the loader, had a great visit with the owner and his wife, then to the motel. Up Saturday morning and came back home. Left Friday morning at 4:00am and back at 6:00pm Saturday.

Came with the deal. It’s mounted on that red pump Spike. He had that set up on the loader after he told the original black pump off. I kind of thought if looked familiar. He told why he had it on there. But of course I can’t remember now. But I think it was for so the lift and dump work work at the same speed if both used at the same time. I’m not sure on that.

Re: Picked up the Kwik-Way loader.
The Flow Control spec's for Case GT's was 8 GMP. After market units are typically 5 or 10 and 15 GMP. 10 and 15 GMP flow controls would only use the lower end of the adjustable range. A 15 GMP valve would start retarding speed at just over 50% of the lever sweep. The last 50% of sweep would be a rapid reduction of speed where the first 50% of sweep would not change speed. A 10 GMP unit would have approximately 20% of the lever sweep with no noticeable speed change. A 5 GMP control would theoretically reduce top end speed by 60% at valve totally open.
I have a 10 GMP flow control to add to a 448 used for tilling.

Re: Picked up the Kwik-Way loader.
Thats awesome Noel . A few points from someone who has put a loader on a 400 series tractor . You do not need to go to the extreams that I did on Frankie because it can lift twice what that can in weight . BUT you will need to make sure that the front tires are a minimum 4 ply and together can carry the weight of the pay load (up to 400 lbs ) plus half the weight of the tractor (400 lbs ) Plus the weight of the loader assembly (guess is about another 400lbs ) . Now a counter balance weight behind the rear wheels will transfer some of that weight to the rear wheels and off the fronts reducing that number . Front wheel bearing will need to be upgraded if you have not already done so . I recommend upgrading steering linkage to Hiem end rod ends and make sure your steering gears are in good shape to deal with the addtional load . Make sure your sub frame attaches to the rear axle as well as the frame in the middle and the front .
It take a little extra time to do these things but you will have a great little loader afterwards .
Have fun .

Re: Picked up the Kwik-Way loader.
So we mocked up the loader today and we have it sort of figured out where it’s going. Lots to do. Every time you change a setting it changes something else.
Any way. Forward we go.

It was nice of Case to provide mounting tabs on the rear axle for the subframe .
