Not my engine. So don’t know what has or has not been done. B48 Onan backfires through the carburetor when throttled up. Any ideas so I could maybe help the fella out. Thanks for any help.

Lean misfire . Check the intake seams, gaskets, and carb for worn throutle shaft play /air leak and or gunked up carb.

Re: Quick question. Backfiring
Start with the condenser, doesn't even have to be the correct one and fit in the breaker box. Just connect one to the neg coil terminal and mount it to a good ground.
