This tractor runs so well now, it's amazing. I used it with a P100 mask before, because of the smoke. Now it's zero smoke.

Hay that’s cheating! Picking that stuff up with the backhoe instead of yanking it around!

Seriously though it is no surprise to me that it runs so well. We all saw the work you put into it. I’m just happy you’re getting to enjoy some seat time with it!

@Spike188 looks like your humming right along! A 5 year old mower vs. a 25 year old GT… I think I know which one I’m picking!

Suppose to be bumper crop of cicadas this year; 15 year and 17 year cicadas varieties coincide.

Sounds like an orgy of cicadas to me. Kinda of like Woodstock. Did anyone here go to that? I just graduated from HS in 69 and I was putting a 327 cu in chevy motor in a 57 Bel Air. A buddy stopped by to give me a hand and the motor mounts were not lining up right. We dropped everything and drove there for the blow out. At 18 years old it was quite an education for me.

I bet that was something to witness.

We are having some swarming here and a heck of a lot of racket from them but not as bad as it is a little south of us. I saw piles of them around the bottom of trees. And they swarm you every time you pass a tree or bush. So loud you can’t think straight! Pretty interesting phenomenon.
I’m sure these are the 15 and 17 year versions @FUTZ was talking about. These are smaller that the yearly ones.

That's a nice unit.

I have argued with myself countless times about picking up a used DR 3 point unit that works the same way. I keep coming back to the problem of it really being designed for a compact, or possibly sub compact tractor, and it wouldn't protrude all that much out the side of my Massey 135... I mean it would work, but I'd have to be right up on the fence line. They have a towable unit as well, which might be viable behind the 444. (even better if one could find one with a thrashed engine, and swap it out for a hydraulic motor)

If a guy had a large enough property with all kinds of things to trim along / around could justify having a dedicated 200 series to do that with . I would want some kind of shield to keep that debree of ya . Start with a snap fast mower front section , add frame section to hold idler pulleys to take the belt down and under the tractor like a deck but then out to the side to a double pulley on a spindle . From there to the cutting head . If I have time I will sketch something up and take a picture of what I see in my minds eye

@DavidBarkey I had some of you thoughts also. Using a hydraulic motor to the cutting head would be worth looking into. For cemetery maintenance a swing unit would be nice but the rub bar would need to made of a non scuffing material.

Make the rub bar to accept a slide from a snow mobile .
