Re: First cutting
Hang in there Eugene. You will get the bugs worked out and get the lawn finished up. A tank of gas mowing is quite an accomplishment. Been there and done that

Re: First cutting
Rough start to the mowing season. No grass cutting here yet. This weekend I’d say I’ll have to start.

Re: First cutting
That's no fun...
I'll be hitting round 3 tomorrow afternoon, and Friday morning hopefully. The Walker and it's new 56" deck have worked great (2 almost full tanks per mow). The MF135 is hooked up, greased, and fueled, but I discovvered the 6' Mott flail's belt had deteriorated, and it's a weird size... That's sitting on the table waiting to go when I get back... Twice around the fields is my typical goal for that to keep things in check. Then they get cut periodically.
Without a deck, the 444 is just sitting happily in the barn, still wearing the blower and chains. Nothing specific planned for it until fall leaf pickup, but some project always needs a small tractor now and again to let it stretch its legs...

Re: First cutting
@Spike188 hopefully that’s the end of the maintenance items for the season. Or you could always let the grass grow and bale it!
We’re in full swing down here. Been mowing for several weeks now.
