One of the old forks was missing the whole locking in place stuff, pin, spring, and handle. The pin goes into a detent so the fork doesn't slide sideways online the rail. Made a new pin on the lathe and the handle out of some sheet metal.

Works as good as the old one. Don't have a frame to mount the forks on, but there's this plate on its way from Vevor :gift:

Then half inch rails need to be fabricated and welded. :bee: :whip: :giggle:

Those little weasels are med brown in colour in the summer . They are nasty things if you have small live stock like chickens ect. Our big barn cat is about 14 lbs now . He keep anything small enough to get through the 2"x4" fence and the electric wire keep out the bigger stuff. Now if you are like Eugen and have stuff stored outside in coveralls , having them around is good for you . They will kill off all the rats, mice squirrels ect. in your area that would cause damage building homes in your stuff .

Pads will be here on Saturday but the rotors won't be here until mid week.

That's the rear rotor. It's got 160K on it. Original rotors, 2nd set of pads.

That's how it is Matt, you gotta do what you gotta do. Did you get the pads on?

It was tires day for me. Wanted to mount the original 15" wheels on the 644, but one of the tires was losing air, so to day the tubes arrived. After some tire irons action they are on.

There was something waiting for my attention like forever. A few of years ago I bought a couple of AG tires for the front wheels, on a vanity based impulse. 🙈 Yep. On account of balmy temperatures, today was the day.

Sure, no 4x4, but it looks nice.

While at it why not a coat of fresh paint on the inside of the caster chute? After a little sanding, it's good to go.

Eugen I just noticed the wheel weights on your 444. Are those JD combine wheel weights on the 444? :peace: Harry

Travelled quite far to get them, but it was worth it. Got them from a combine wrecking yard.

They look terrific on your 444. Probably have no problem with traction, eh? :peace:
