Containers... both 20' long,
PXL_20231104_220526832.jpg
Household storage (left side) - One Trip - aka "New Container" all in price including delivery and taxes - $4972.00 CDN
PXL_20230926_165326278.jpg
A mint condition container v.clean inside and out, no stains/spills on floor...
Garage storage (right side) - One Trip with wear/defects - Price TBD - all the greasy stuff that makes :wife: stay awake at night worrying all the nice household stuff is going to be trashed :fight:, more importantly - it's all the greasy stuff I'm not ready to throw out :107: , or take to the scrap yard because "I might be able to use that some day..." :hm:
PXL_20231104_210000602.jpg
The "to be determined" part - was initially quoted $3500 + tax for a "New" container that had been in the yard for a couple of years - I was expecting scratched/faded paint or a bit of rust... not one that had another container dropped on it's roof :headbash: leaving a bunch of dents,
PXL_20231104_181352266.jpg
opened up joint at the junction of ceiling/wall (gap is only on the inside - the outside is still water tight)
PXL_20231104_181021369.jpg
PXL_20231104_180130319.jpg
a small hole in the roof/ceiling patched with sticky tape :106:
PXL_20231104_180243320.jpg
and issues with the door latching assembly - discussions are on going with the vendor who is going to adjust the price closer to that of a used container - he did offer to swap it out for a good condition one trip container, but I explained this was already packed full and I wasn't interested in a 10 hour return trip to unpack, and pack all over again...

I'm pretty confident the price will be reduced enough to cover putting a roof on the pair of containers in the spring (if not sooner) and some fresh sealant on the inside for that opened up seam. The doors will take a bit of tweaking / grinding but the gaskets are still making good contact so it's all still workable...

Well there goes my tractor time this weekend. Would have been nice to put the snowblower on in 50F weather but the wifes cars brakes decided otherwise 🙄
Pads will be here on Saturday but the rotors won't be here until mid week.

That's the rear rotor. It's got 160K on it. Original rotors, 2nd set of pads.

That's how it is Matt, you gotta do what you gotta do. Did you get the pads on?

It was tires day for me. Wanted to mount the original 15" wheels on the 644, but one of the tires was losing air, so to day the tubes arrived. After some tire irons action they are on.

There was something waiting for my attention like forever. A few of years ago I bought a couple of AG tires for the front wheels, on a vanity based impulse. 🙈 Yep. On account of balmy temperatures, today was the day.

Sure, no 4x4, but it looks nice.

While at it why not a coat of fresh paint on the inside of the caster chute? After a little sanding, it's good to go.

I did not get the pads on yet. The front pads are here but the rear pads which I need are delayed until tomorrow.

I've finally decided to redo the exhaust on the 644. Rerouted new 1" pipe and got a new muffler as well.

I got my wifes brake rotors and pads replaced. The fronts went well, no issues. The rears... :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: I probably spent an hour per side in the rear getting the caliper mounting brackets out. Ended up going to the store for a can of PB Blaster and working the bolts in and out with repeated coats of PB Blaster until I could get them out. Physically exhausted I finished about 10:30pm. I'm embarrassed to admit how long I spent doing her brakes. Certainly a personal record on the ten or so brake jobs I've done in my lifetime.

Sure looks nice. They work nice too.

@MattA , the important thing is it's done. I know the feeling when things go south like that. Here's something that might make you smile.

While I was in the tent working on the pallet fork locking mechanism

a white weasel just entered and disappeared under all the stuff. Looked exactly like this
