Lost and found
I was using the 644 to clean up the burn pile in the back yard. I couldn’t steer the GT and found out a collar that holds on the steering arm fell off. I put some wire on the arm as a temporary fix. Yesterday I used an old birthday present that was still in the box, a metal detector from HF. I got a few hits but no luck in finding the collar. So I mowed the area short and went back with the metal detector this morning. It only took a few minutes and I got a hit. A little dragging with a small rack and there it was. I don’t know why it came off other than it’s old, so I think I will wire it on when I install it.

Re: Lost and found
Glad you found it @Harry! Metal detectors can be quite handy. I’ve used mine to find a wrench that fell off the tractor and my truck keys that I lost in the yard!

Re: Lost and found
Glad you found it Harry. This really hit home. Over the weekend while I installed mounts for a 13' umbrella on my deck, my 2 and 4 year old girls lost a bunch of my drill bits in the lawn. Tonight I borrowed a magnetic floor sweeper from work and recovered all my drill bits
