Splitting wood with the Case 224 today and the MF7 comes home from sons place to cut the grass. This will save me, hopefully, from hauling the Case from my place to sons place each time I want to cut the grass at home.

Did good on the splitting today. I hope tomorrow will finish the first pile. Splitter and Case 224 worked great. Had a little rain delay, but got lots done.

Surprise surprise, Was up in my woods checking a noise I was hearing. Seemed awfully close to my land. But the machine was quite a ways away. Never stops with them Beepin machines.
Any way, found a tree that had blown down. I was in there two weeks or less ago and was not down then.
I’ll just give the tools to the mosquitoes and let them do it up. Holy cats they were bad in there.
That will be an October job. And it’s just an old poplar tree. Not worth cuttin up. But it’s in the way of getting to my dumping spot.
It’s about 12” or less in diameter.

So more done today. Finished the sister in laws wood. So I’ll message her and tell her the wood is done. The whole pile is yours, get haulin.
Not sure about the weather tomorrow wether I be starting on the next pile or not. Lot of grass cutting and whacking to do at home and over at the wood pile. Plus some garden work.

Those are some impressive piles of wood. And it makes my heart happy to see that plucky little old-iron 224 just sitting there churning out the power to split all that wood.

Some done today. Son helped this mourning, surprising how much wood gets done with two people. Sure made a dent in the big pile.
Grass cutting tomorrow. Maybe some wood splitting. Maybe some weed whacking, maybe some garden work, and maybe some some some, always something. Hehe.

Bit more done today. Son helped later in the afternoon. Case224 and splitter works great again. Might be half done of that second pile.

So there we are. Second pile done. Had help from sister in law and the we split up a bit of apple wood she had. So on to the hurricane Fiona wood next. Some preparation to do first before the splitting starts. Have to make a pallet bin to throw the wood into. And do a little fix up on the wood escalator. Hopefully start early next week. Got a wood moisture meter for a gift yesterday. Always wanted one, but don’t really need it. Just another fun gadget to use.
