Dave, you could have used some pallet forks there right? I have been looking for (and missing) some pallet forks! It was a bit too tedious to move the logs one at a time... until I remembered there was another tractor near by

Ya , didn't have the thing converted to removeable bucket and forks at the time . Sure come in handy now .

That's a good pick up Dave. Doesn't look like Frankie is having any trouble with it.
Ya no problem there . He can about 700 lbs but the rear tire are having a hard time gettin a bite evan though the are loaded and the extra 200 lbs off the 3 point . He can dead lift about 1000lbs but can't move it .

My 3012 has a pretty easylife, I bought it as a bare tractor so it just pulls a JD 80 cart. This morning's storm brought down a 50 foot boxelder, so I cut it into manageable pieces and hauled it to the burn pile.

Sometimes hauls dirt to, measurements come out to 2/3 of a yard.

Thanks forgot to mention that Yes 1.75 inch of rain in about 2.5 hours, no runoff plenty of 1/2- 1 inch cracks in the black clay base for the rain to drop in and go deep.

Eugen, those are grain scoops. My hands have a permanent shape from using those as a child laborer. I didn't know any thing was suppose to be anything wrong with that. In the first grade I took down a 6th grader during recess. The teacher gave me the privilege of staying inside the couple of days.

Can't afford Case weights when they rarely show up, but those 3 green ones (with running deer) were $15us each at a auction And I get to tell people that JD is great at making dead weight, when they give me crap for having them on the Case or Ingy
The scoop shovels are tailgate extensions to get more dirt in the cart The tires on the cart are tubed, and cracked like ice in a snow cone so of course I need to load test them from time to time

so I'm not the only one that handled a big shovel in his youth. It does mark you that's for sure. I did a stint in a coal mine for one year, as part of my military service, and we had these huge shovels named "heart of Stalin" on account of coal being lighter than dirt, so you could shovel more at at time. I do want something like this, because for instance wood chips are light, so normal shovels are just too little.
