Unusual DIY tractor

I seen this diy tractor that looked unusual to me. It's certainly one of a kind but I thought everyone might enjoy seeing it. It may inspire some others to build such a machine.

Those are some cool unique tractors. I'm quite amazed by what others can come up with.

This is a tractor my father built in the late '60's. He used a transmission and rear end from a Hillman car and steering from a Corvair. It has hydraulic brakes and a Brigg's motor.

He went through it last winter and got it back in top form. He'll be 82 in September an needs things to keep occupied, so if it has a motor in it he's on it.

It's hard to believe it survived all the abuse my brother put it through when we were kids.

Yes, Eugen, my brother was 6 years younger than me, he got away with alot more than I did growing up. He also pushed things alot harder than I did, he still does. He blew up way more stuff than I did, probably why he's better with motors than I am. Not that I didn't do stupid stuff. That old Briggs was always at wide open throttle.

I don't know how he does it, I hope to just be above the sod. He's rebuilding old farm tractors. Just finished a 40 over rebuild of a 289 for an old mustang.

I'll be 70 next month and I believe everyone needs a purpose to keep moving. I have many different projects from tractors and implements to gardening, landscaping, metal sculpture and sometimes improving things in my shop. Glad to hear your Dad keeps busy and is available to help you out when you get in a bind!
