Re: The weather
I just watched the evening weather forecast. 3” to 6” of snow and sleet tonight through tomorrow. It’s not over yet!

Re: The weather
Fearing snowmaggedon
said go out and fix that snow castor! Which I promptly obeyed
I may have found the issue that caused the chain problem too
And it did not touch the chain when I turned the auger slowly. But the moment I turned it as sudden as I could the littlest movement of the chain to the side it snagged it a little. At the highest speed it's enough to break a chain. No idea when this might have happened. Good lesson to inspect the auger from time to time.

That system just left here. All day cold rain, I think I’d rather have snow!RoamingGnome wrote: ↑Fri Mar 03, 2023 5:30 pm ...think we might actually get some snow out of this system...

Re: The weather
@Eugen I've used a pair of 15" adjustable wrenches to gently bend back a snowcaster auger.

Re: The weather
Looks like the big bad storm has sorta fizzled out. Down to a couple of cm now. So maybe an inch or so. And tomorrow is snow and rain now.
But who knows. Light precipitation right up into Friday. Could be snow or rain.
