On the drive to town

Post by DavidBarkey »

Had to get some things in town yesterday for the tractor . On the way there I got stuck behind a Stool Bus :cuss: Oh it was awe-full . Even in the cold and windows close it still smelled like the :hitsfan: :violin: . Had to drive part way home with the windows down to get the smell out of the truck :barf: I am rural , have farm all around us and some critters of our own . I clean up chicken shit everyday , so I am use to it some what . But what they were carrying would knock a Buzzard of a manure wagon from 50 feet . :barf:

 sorry Dave. I know exactly what you're saying, this area use to be all little, old school dairy farms. They spread manure as needed. They have all stopped milking and now it's just the huge mega operations. The stench from liquid manure they store and spread is enough to gag a maggot. :barf:
:creeper: no more mow it's time to blow :446cart:

I heard pig farms are the worst. Maybe they had pig dung in there. :|

What ever it was it must have been ripening for a while first.

We had hogs, cattle, and chickens on the farm when I was a kid, and don’t remember the smell ever being too bad. I can tell you there was a hog farm a couple of towns over. On a hot summers day with the breeze wafting in the right direction you could smell the stench from miles away! :barf:
You had to roll up the window in the car when you got close.
Big chicken operations also stink so bad they’d make a skunk hold it nose! :52:

Ouuu, the liquid stuff is down right nasty when it spread. Worked in a few pig barns over the the years doing propane work. That’s also nasty. When you walk in, the ammonia takes your breath away. Jumpins it was bad. Don’t know how the pigs breathed in there. Been in a few chicken barns too. They’re all nasty.
