Dave, I used screen door latches on mine...At top and bottom I added spring latches because the 3/16" lexan (polycarbonate) had some flex.

My door have 1" light wall tube , so flex not an issue . I am putting 1/8" lexan on my doors . I like the way that looks . Looked at the price of them , $20 :canada: will do a door tax in . I thinking that is the way I will go . I have untill next week when the metal has been painted and I have picked up the lexan .

So for me I have been working exclusively with 8020 Aluminum profiles for my front cab braces and also my cab doors. Easy to use and has all the profiles necessary to address the whole door. What is not aluminum profile on my doors is plexiglass. To me being constrained in a "box" for even a 1/4 hour is daunting. I personally want maximum visibility and that includes curbs etc. Never was a lover of the Old or even new cabs because of this. I guess I need to get back to working on mine also and photo what I mean. By the way Bob has exactly the right idea for doors. For me I dialed it back, but only one notch to include a central bar for the lock and added sliding windows. I am using 1/4 plexiglass throughout
I also used screen door locks on my design too.

Should say guys that BobAftons design was the one and only that inspired me to look at adding a cab to my winter GT>>

Awesome details on your build - Thanks! I've made so many mental notes of good ideas to incorporate on my 446 - I really like the way your cab looks !

David it appears to me that you have done a terrific job on your cab build as you have always done on your other projects. :worship: :worship: :worship: :peace: Harry
