My Dad was a big Pennzoil fan until he bought a new 81 Ford Fairmont, the owners manual said the warranty would be voided you you used PennzoilSeabee wrote: ↑Wed Dec 28, 2022 7:41 pm Diesel oil doesn't work well in an engine that has been slushed up. Bought a 1961 Dodge with slant 6 engine. My dad was dumping Series 3 diesel in everything, new or used. This was probably in late 70's, and we needed a cheap car. Within a short while the engine blew. Pulled it apart and the sludge had broken loose and blocked the drain ports. The bottom end of the engine starved for oil.
Series 3 was a good cleaner.
I run diesel in everything in my barn, including my truck!
