Good ramble @Eugen ! I think layering is the key. I can usually get my core to stay warm but like you say hands and feet are freezing. Any changes you can put up a picture of the fur inserts? I may want to try that! For hands this is what I do.

Sometimes I use two layers. It helps me keep my hand warm and still be able to work.

You guys ready for the weekend ? I hear there's a meteorite on a trajectory to earth too, and a couple more unidentified viruses will be released from Wuhan on Friday. Anything else I might be missing? :giggle:

Since Christmas is around the corner and we have this storm coming work said we can go home and to see ya after Christmas. Closed up my box and headed home. Grabbed some gas cans this morning and filled them up just incase power goes out. Gonna go work on my 4016ps project and enjoy some time off. Hopefully we don't have alot of snow. It's been nice. We've had 6in at all times sitting here for the last few weeks and not having to clean the driveway many times is great. I've been wanting to get out ice fishing but Houghton Lake hasn't froze over completely. Most years I would have already been out. Some guys are out there but it's nowhere near ready. This snow predicted is not gonna help the lakes. Just started snowing here about an hour ago.

So the snow kinda fell a little short of the predictions, that's ok. :106: Got three to four inches today on top of the two to three from Tuesday so a nice amount to blow, light and cold. It was truly fun today as long as you worked with the wind. :69: It was 10°f this morning and has dropped steadily to -4°f by dark. We may get a little more snow by Saturday but we'll see what happens with this fluff and 40-50mph winds. :O Still a good sized storm that's going to impact most of us.

@Jancoe nice Christmas bonus. I was hoping to take it easy for a couple of days with the cold, but been out pulling pumps instead. :45: Ice conditions are crap here too, thin ice with a foot of snow on it.

Snow didn’t amount to much here either. Just a couple of inches but I guess the kids will get a white Christmas. We’ll call it our first snowfall of the season.

We’re sitting at about -6 this evening which is bad enough around here, but the wind is blowing hard. I know this kind of weather is no big deal to a lot of you, but you can have this crap! :112: :33: :45: :124:
