centring a nut

Need to weld a nut on but have to centre and hold in place while welding . There are a few ways to do it . Here's one I use often .

couple of rounds of soft wire following the threads to take up the gap

centres blot nicely so the nut can be tightened down for welding

dead on centre and square every time
