Not easy getting the thrower down off of that bench by me self. Getting to be a little to much for this old fella. Any way. It’s on the floor. I’ll continue. One troubles is, I have not seen the belt for it yet any where.

I strap them to a skid and move them around with Frankie then lift off with overhead winch crane . Like you and many others , too old and broken down to be musculling them around anymore .

There now. I think I have the John Deere carb issue fixed. Will see when I have to use it. I think the main trouble was the needle sticking in the seat. Changed the filter. Didn’t seem dirty, but harder to blow thur than the new one. Put it’s a different type of filter. Put fresh high test gas in too.
I have have trouble with those paper type filters before. The Case 224 would not pull gasoline thru with the fuel pump. Put one of those white filters on and it worked fine.
Those white filters have a better screen in them than the same type red ones.

Every year that goes by the less I like snow! You can keep that stuff up there. Good plan having multiple tractors ready for winter. Old things do break. I try to follow the idea that 2=1, 1=none, and having 3+ is better. I can feel the chill in the air around here. I guess I better get my 446 ready soon!

That's what we call N+1 redundancy in the engineering world. Basically you have an extra in case one breaks

Matt, between my son and I, there is 7. 2 Cases, 2 Fords, 2 MFs and 1 John Deere. I will have 5 at my place. But not sure just yet. May but one of the Cases at sons place. So that would be 4 for me, 3 for him.

I have been told not to use those small pleated paper filters on our low pressure systems as they are too restrictive and plug up easily. BUT I always have, I only had one fail quickly (couple of hours) and that was my fault, I tried to savage 2 gallons of old gas by diluting it with 4 gallons of non ethanol premium gas. I could not see any crud on the filter element, so the crud must have been almost microscopic. I can get those small pleated paper filters at tractor shows for $.50, and for $.75 I can get the larger filter which I have started using figuring that the larger surface area should mean less resistance and longer life.

Hoping we get a month yet without significant snow, but knowing it could come at any time, I followed Noel's lead.
Won't be mowing any more this year, so deck off the 448.

Got the blade on. Chains can wait.

Have to find some wheel weights or load the tires too.

Looks good Tim. You could also go with a weight box or suitcase weights + wheel weights. I'd post pictures but I don't want to hijack Noel's post.
