1969 442 Performance King

To me this is almost my favorite of the older Case tractors. This tractor is a 1969 Case 442 PK. The PK or Performance King was only made for one year, (1969). It has what I call an egging cab. It is owned by a face book friend of mine in who lives in Trois-Pistoles, Quebec Canada. The cab it’s self is rare and I have only seen a handful of them.

I have several 1969 Case 442 PK’s but they pale in comparison to this tractor. One of the first Case garden tractors I bought was a 1969 442 PK with a non-factory loader. I still have this tractor and it is currently in a million pieces in shipping crates awaiting restoration someday. I badly want to find a similar cab to install on mine after restoration. It ha been stored for many years but I have located all the parts to restore it other than cab. One day it will happen, until then it just increases in value in my opinion.

@Doublet Terry what make is the cab ?? I like it . Might have to try and make a copy of it that would fit the 446 Blower unit . What is the chance of seeing more pic.s of it or that style cab.

I will send a message to the owner and try to get him to join the site. It might take a little while but I will get you more information about the cab. All I have ever heard them called is egging cabs.

They were made similar to the big tractor cabs but I forget who I was told made them..Somewhere on DVD's I have a lot of information on cabs that were made by former members as well as others.

ASAP I am going to try to contact some of them and get them to check out the site. Many of them were members of the original site when Tom was moderating the site. They have either quit altogether or went to Face Book. It is possible some are on this site but have changed their names.

I will try to find out.

Many thanks!!! :worship:

I am a member of the FB Case group but facebook is not a good medium for this sort of discussion, IMHO. I like a forum much better!

That is a very nice GT. One in a million in my opinion. Can anyone tell me what is the difference between a Performance King and a regular 400 series GT?

@Guillaume I have installed an extension which should allow you to translate a page or multiple ones into French.

Also, you could write in French and we could use that button to translate in English. I'm thinking that it's not perfect, but it would get us 80% there :D

I think you did very well with the English. I have watched your you tube videos on this tractor. Very nice.

unfortunately, I sold it to a friend, I miss the tractor but I needed a tractor with a loader for my hunting camp, etc., I bought a 1986 kubota B7100 with loader and Normand snow blower.. it's stronger and 4x4, it blows more and more enduring but I miss my 442 a lot which has never let me go in 5 years, it was very very clean because I took very good care of it.. unfortunately my friend takes less care of it.. he took off the doors and he leaves them outside in the snow, he's all dirty and he doesn't know anything, he forces him on the high even if I tell him not to, he already has problems with it, he spends his time playing with the carburettor adjustments etc... that's sorry a chance that I sold it a very good price in my eyes $ 5000 you can contact me on Facebook Guillaume Jean from Trois pistoles for more info

@Guillaume , Welcome to the forum . Sad to hear you no longer have that tractor . Maybe one day you can get it back and bring it back to the way it was . I was the one asking about the cab as I would like to build one like that to fit my 446 Blower tractor project . I will look you up on Face book . Do you have other Case tractors ?

This a a great thing to have the translator link on the board. I also see that you had added the German version.

Thank You!
for what you are doing. It makes a great difference when someone who actually cares about trying to get it right.

Harry when I get a little time I will post some stuff that may help you determine the differences. The differences are minor and mostly it was a production type booster.
100 percent 1969 PK Hood Decal 200 and 400 Series.
100 percent 1969 PK Hood Decal 200 and 400 Series.
The Decals and a few other changes. Although scattered throughout the 1969 model tractors there are a few tractors with the 1970 decals. Not sure if they were changed over time or why they are there. I have a theory but no way of proving it. At least at this time.

According to the parts book (E1123) 9641001 was the 1st Non-PK tractor built I will post other pictures of difference later. Will edit them on this post when I do.
