Current weather in your area

Current weather for Gotebo, Oklahoma and short term forecast.
I know it has to be a lot colder where most of you are. Not sure how you get anything done in the winter time. Normally in Oklahoma if you don't like the weather, just wait fifteen minutes and it will change. Normally always windy.

Reasonable here today for weather, but mess coming on the weekend. Snow then, no good for nothing rain on top of it.
Don’t have to wait 15 minutes here Terry. Less than 5 minutes will do it.

I had -19°F this morning, supposed to get to 11 for a high today. Yesterday our high was 2. Tomorrow back to 27 then back to cold for the weekend.
You do what you can (or have to) outside and hide in the shop till it warms up.

Last night I heard them yapping about a "bomb cyclone" for the northeast. Is that coming for you, I know you need more snow.
Yep they like to make it sound better, had never heard of the "polar vortex" till a few years ago.

You know, I honestly blame the "market" for all the circus we get in the news/media/weather in general. There is so much appetite for sensationalism, easy life and lack of strong values breeds boredom and big appetite for this sort of thing. Just give me the facts, forecasted temperature, wind, precipitations.

You know, I wish it would go back to the days of watching CBC tv, getting the weather by a fella in Yarmouth, NS. Black and white tv. He drew all the same information basically on a whiteboard. Can’t remember the fellas name, but can picture him.

We are expecting 12-18" of snow Saturday/Saturday night. This is the second time in the 5 years I've lived here that it's snowed this much
We have only had snow on the ground here for about 3 days this winter. Temp wise its 11°F here... lowest this winter was -2°F. I have no idea how you guys survive in -40° weather.

At 7:33am we were at -21f, at 7:30pm we were at 23f and climbing, so 44 degrees in 12 hours.

It’s been cold here in west Kentucky this week. Teens at night and 20s during the day. It’s supposed to get up to 43 today but we’ll see if it happens

Forecast is worse now. Up to 40 cm, depending on which weather site you look at and which one is looking for extra ratings. Any way, will see what happens. The freezing rain and 90 k winds will more than likely put the power out.

The weather finally cooled off here in the past week or so. Low 80's most days with a few days in the high 70's. We also got a few showers and quick thunderstorms in the past two weeks. My yard is starting to green up a little. It's been so hot and dry here that I have not mowed in 7 weeks. 4 weeks before that I mowed the green areas in about 1/3 of my lawn. Even my new bushes which I've been watering are struggling. I've probably saved $100 in gas and 30+ hours of mowing this summer.

It's been cooler here too and we've been getting enough rain to get the grass back on the once a week mowing schedule. Got just the right couple weeks of dry just at the right time while both tractors were down. Now the 448 is getting it done, spindle bearings will wait till the 4118 is back together.

A little cooler here too. I had to water the tomatoes the other day, as they seemed affected by the lack of rain. Short rain today.

It's been cooler here also and not much rain to speak of. We've had shattered showers the last few days but it's been missing my neighborhood. I heard on the weather were in a moderate drought but it seems worst than that. I have been watering most days either the pumpkin garden, flowers or shrubs. They are calling for rain on Sunday, but I'll believe it when I see it.
