I don't think you should be embarrassed, it is what it is. Getting to the bottom of performance issues and improving them is everybody's goal.
I've watched a bunch of them YouTube videos, there are plenty of them that are not throwing the snow beyond the next pass. Then there are the impressive ones. Unfortunately we don't know what they have done to achieve those results.

I have come to the conclusion that the modified/replaced chutes allow for much better control/direction of the snow. As for distance I don't know, some of the OEM chutes are getting some incredible distance, the stream is just blown apart. Not so good into the wind.

Efficiency through the blower seems to be the key. High rpms, tight clearances, no slippage in the drive system, and a smooth exit path.

I got some things to work on too, first year with the caster. (Mixed reviews so far) I don't need the tight direction control, but need to get more distance. First up is rubber paddles, repaint chute, and new hydraulic motor. (I'm running my tired hydraulic motor from my mower.)

Possibly a strong engine too. Most of you guys have the 16 HP and up engines. Same in these videos.

I don't have to keep up with the Joneses, it's just got to work for me.

Great videos. Seen most of them before and most before I got a Case tractor. I watch a lot of snow removal videos of any kind of machine. Keep them coming.

That’s very true. I’ve noticed that in the videos I watch. But maybe in a way it’s a good thing. That way it’s spread out and not all laying on top of your next passes, in one spot. I think we all know that throwing already thrown snow, two or three times thrown, is very hard to do. So maybe it helps if the snow is spread apart while leaving the thrower. And not good into the wind for sure. But thats where a power chute defector helps.
