I seen this cab come up for sale today. It's not a bad price considering it only has a windshield and no rear at all. I would probably have to get dimensions before driving an hour to just check it out. Have any of you heard of a Sims cab?

Harry, apparently it came off of the International 2444.

Actually the windshield is out too, you can see the wiper arm dropping threw the opening.
Still at $50 I'd go for it, you have a good start there. It may get spendy replacing all that glass, but I'd go with a glass windshield and polycarbonate for the rest of the windows. The back could be all window or partly closed in with steel or plywood. I kind of like the sliding door, but wonder about slush and ice buildup on the bottom slide on those somewhat warmer days.
It was probably an expensive unit new, Dad got a Cozy Cab in the early 80's, all metal and glass. As I recall it was $1600 back then I hate to think what it would cost now with inflation.

At least one location for Sims cab was made in NW Ohio. Don't remember where for sure. I had just bought a 1030 Case tractor with the factory cab, and it was very noisy inside. Somehow got a hold of Sims cab and went over there to buy Sound deadening foam to put on the inside of my cab on the 1030. They had regular foam and foam with a very dense foam mat inside as a sandwich type material. I went cheap, and it worked fairly well, but the dense foam inside probably would have been better.
That was about 40 years ago since I have owned it, and the guy I sold it to has been gone for about 30 years, so who cares anymore!
