My son has had my truck at the body shop he works at working on it in his spare time while I healed from my surgery . A 2007 with 293000 km on it was in need of some TLC I was suppose to do the fall . It was original black but had some panel replaced with silver one from a doner truck . I decided I liked the silver better with black on the bottom . Still need a new fender and windshield . The black along the bottom and on the bumpers is Rinno Lining , about an 1/8" thick . Dam near bullet proof for those gravel roads . Full rust proofing and put my snows on for me . I had done some mechanical in the summer and still need to do some in the spring after things warm up . Not driving far or without a chaperone but is nice to be able to have a little more freedom , and My truck I have had since fall of 2009 .

Nice big truck
@Jancoe ! It pays to be on the defensive on the road, good thing you got away unhurt. Riding a bike for over 16 years has taught me that. Merry Christmas!

The only experience I have with Dodge is the 76 Power Wagon Dad bought new. Both the truck and the dealer were LEMONS !!! 2 years and 40k miles and warranty work still not done on the 12 month/12k mile warranty. Dad dumped it on the Ford dealer for a new 78 F150 and never looked back

Nice truck, Dave, and welcome back to the road!
And as Click and Clack "the Tappett Brothers" on NPR used to say, "Don't drive like my brother!"

I have had great luck with it , I am not a big guy , so I don't feel like I am mountain climbing getting into it . Yet there is plenty of room for 4 adults to make an 10 trip south of the border towing a pop up trailer . Day to with the grandkids it has been fantastic over the years .
Ya the 70s Dodge were sh#$%. 80s Chevy was sh$^&. 90s fords went for a sh$%^&* . And Now, depending on who you talk to , but I personally think there all sh$%^& for what $$$$ they want for them . Worse if you work on them daily . Thank God I don't do that anymore .

Sooooo , when I got my truck back I was afraid to drive it due to what happened to a GM mini van we had . Just after I got it back from my son repainting the bottom sides (rocker panel repairs ) I was smoked in the side writing it off before the new paint smell was even gone . So being altra careful and leaving a mile between me and everything else we go on maiden voyage . Well does't it developed a misfire uggg . Knowing it was due for new sparklers I change them and find one with a cracked porseline . All's good for a week and starts misfiring again . WTF , scan for code and fine injector circuit code . Pull the injectors , clean them , and swap position of suspect injector . Drive for a couple of days and misfire again . Injector circuit code moved with injector . Now I know it is the injector for sure , a set is on order . Tomorrows job . Oh and now we are getting that storm , and it has to be running right for Wednesday medical appointment . Well at least I am not having to try and do all this and go to work to .
