- stock rear wheel weights
-14hp Koehler
-new starter
-new battery
-new spark plug
-new head gasket

-Runs Good
-Tin Straight
- Have Some Manuals For It

-Located In Erin
- No Delivery
- If Ad Is Up Then It’s Still For Sale So Don’t Ask Me If It’s Availiable without following up. "

I hear ya I've always like my 444 tractors
Not as much power but easier to work on
Hell my old 442 was a great tractor to learn on
Now that I have a barn full of 446 and 448's :violin: Can't seem to what to get after them :headbash:
I feel the Onan engine is over my head, :?: I like the 4020ps it can cut grass better than any other tractor I have ever used
I'd hate to tell ya how many Onan engines tractor I have, I have a hard time turning them away :wave3:
I spotted a 4016 last night with the B&S engine the guys asking $950 for it has a deck and caster He told me it ran
I'm thinking it was a family hand me down
If I had to do it all over again I would have held off buying 5 Onan powered tractors :cop: but I got a lot of body panels a pile of Onan engines and a step brother's tractor and that one might run plus boxes and boxes of parts decks too.
I was happy with what I had before the brain fart :))
Give me a 444 any day
Just venting

I like the Onan's just as long as I don't have to buy any parts for them, the Kohler tractors are a lot cheaper to fix, and easier to work on. I met an older fella one time he had a couple 446's, one he had replaced the 16hp Onan with a K341 Kohler, he seemed to be much more satisfied with that. The other still had the Onan but it sounded like he had just bought it to flip. Surprisingly enough I left with only the plow blade I had came for, no 446 in tow that time lol

The Onan on my 446 is a beast. In fact I was kinda concerned that the 14HP would not cut it for garden duty. The 644 put all my concerns to rest. We don't see the likes of 4020 around here like :usa: so I might just stay with the 14HP Kohler for as long as I can.

No the 4020’s in Canada are as scarce has hens teeth, you’d have better luck finding a Massey 320GTX I think and they are far from common themselves.
